Senior Pastor
Pastor Michael Chang
Pastor Michael moved to the United States from Seoul, Korea, when he was 10 years old. His family settled down in Overland Park, Kansas, and at the age of twelve, he made a promise to God to become a pastor. He attended the University of Kansas where he attained a B.F.A. degree in Industrial Design and met his wife, Seung.
Following college, he worked in the design field for three years. It was during those times through difficult life circumstances that God reminded him of the pledge he made to Him many years ago. He enrolled in Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, for a semester and then transferred to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
After moving to the Chicagoland area, he began working part-time at Calvary Presbyterian Church as the pastor of its children's ministry. Since receiving his Master of Divinity from Trinity, he has become a full-time staff worker at Calvary and currently pastors the Calvary English Chapel. Pastor Michael and his wife have two wonderful daughters, Faith and Joy. He enjoys playing sports (basketball & golf, in particular) as well as reading and watching martial arts movies. |

Pastor Mark Lim
Pastor Mark is the Associate Pastor of Missions and also oversees the Young Adults’ Ministry. He previously served at Calvary as a part-time College Group Pastor from 1999-2004 while attending seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Through God’s providential leading, Pastor Mark and his family were led back to Calvary in February 2006 where they are humbled and privileged to serve and grow with the community of believers they call family. Pastor Mark is excited to see how Calvary will play a role in obeying the Great Commission mandate, namely to make disciples of Jesus Christ among all nations.

Noah's Ark Children's Ministry
Carl Park
Carl grew up in Milwaukee, WI, and, sometime early in his childhood, in the midst of playing basketball on the driveway, taking piano lessons, and watching Superfriends, he met God. Since that time, he has been learning and relearning about joy and peace from God, accessible to all, young and old.
He received a BA in Sociology/History from Yale University and Masters degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Princeton Theological Seminary. He is currently a PhD student at Trinity, concentrating in New Testament studies. Before coming to Calvary, he was a children's and youth pastor in Milwaukee from 1999-2001 and served as part of the pastoral staff of two churches in New York, NY, from 2002-2007.
Pastor Carl, his wife Chris, and their daughter Phoebe enjoy sports (Packers and Bucks, sorry Chicagoans), music (like Feist and Kenna), and books (like Maisy and Nick Hornby--well, Phoebe might appreciate the latter in time). |

Junior & Senior High Youth Group
Seiichi Yaginuma
Seiichi was born in Japan and grew up there until the age of 9 (If anyone is curious he is of Korean descent). One day his parents told him the family was taking a vacation to the United States, and upon arrival he discovered that they were here to stay. He has lived in Skokie, IL for the past 19 years.
Coming to faith in Christ during a very difficult time in his life, God has given Seiichi a heart for the hurt. He also has a passion for non-Christians, and he hopes his life will be spent in every bit to bring those who do not yet know Christ into genuine relationship with him.
Seiichi is a graduate of Northwestern University, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Aside from church, Seiichi works as a part-time barista and he is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Lake County, where he is appointed by the juvenile court to advocate on behalf of neglected and abused children. Once an avid basketball player, he hopes to get back into it soon.
